Indee Station to Barn Hill Station

We left freezing Karijini and headed to Indee Station, since we'd been there last time they'd had an inch of rain apparently so the road in was rather boggy!!  Again we took the opportunity to do loads of washing, power up and have an amazing hot shower!! We decided to take a drive out to the Red Rock a smaller version of Uluru, the road out there was also rather muddy and boggy. This was a lovely spot with a great vista and also had many Aboriginal etchings!!

We'd noticed that there was a guy painting the side of this ute.... it looked pretty amazing, he apparently travels around and paints!

Again we had a great time at Happy Hour catching us with all of the travellers... It was time to leave Indee behind and head further north.  We stopped in at Port Hedland for a  couple of hours and visited the port, saw some big cargo ships manoeuvre into the harbour, has a coffee in a train, did a bit of a walk around and looked at some heritage stuff and that was about it.....

We had heard that Pardoo Station was the place to go, apparently brilliant and it also had a great write up in Wiki Camps too, so off we went.  It was very different to any station we'd been too, it was this massive caravan park really on a cattle station.  All lovely and neat etc but I really didn't see how so many could say it was so good. But of course we had a great happy hour with a gorgeous sunset! I couldn't believe it, the first night we were there, I had to resort to ear plugs for the first time.... the cattle were going off, I'v never heard so much mooing in my life!! (poor things probably knew where they were headed).  Next day we went for a drive down to the creek and coast area which was a huge mud flat and dunes area.  We got to chatting with other caravaners and they invited us over to watch the "Bush Poets" DVD :-)

Next stop was Eighty Mile Beach for an overnighter, again this was a massive caravan park and just over the dunes was the beach with a few hundred guys out there fishing from the shore, it looked so funny!!  Again we experienced another brilliant sunset, I never get sick of them! Eighty Mile boasts some lovely shells which we were allowed to take from the beach, which I did during our lovely long walk!

Morning Walk!

Then it was on to Barn Hill Station, the road in was pretty rough after being told it was pretty good, mostly corrugations and the owners also installed these hideous speed humps!! (bit over the top) We booked in for 3 nights, wow this place was amazing!!! It turned out to be one of our favourite spots, absolutely gorgeous beach, great swimming and the most stunning rock formations!!  Geoff and I went for many walks, saw stunning sunsets and caught fish!!! (something no one else did while we were there).  We really didn't want to leave but Broome was calling!

Its all too much for Geoff!
